About the Opportunity

We need a talented action-oriented team member to lead the strategy, planning and execution of our external events program. The ability to juggle and prioritize multiple activities is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, flexible, a good problem solver, detail-oriented, and highly organized. Experience managing projects is required, preferably multi-faceted trade show events.

This is a full-time remote position but must be based within a 60 mile radius of our Ann Arbor headquarters.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage the research, coordination, and execution of all external trade show events
  • Research and identify industry events that are on target for our clinical diagnostic and pharma audiences
  • Gather information and propose the event schedule and budget
  • Coordinate with 3rd party event management and negotiate favorable terms for our involvement in each event
  • Design a strategy for each event. Collaborate with the marketing team for deliverables and prospect outreach
  • Arrange for rental and shipping of event materials. This includes physically purchasing, collecting, and packing materials
  • Conduct event team pre-meetings to prepare for the event and post-mortem meetings to improve on the process
  • Manage all event team communication to ensure objectives and logistics are clear
  • Research and obtain prospect information using various tools, assisting with outreach as needed
  • Track event ROI and report results
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to travel to the Ann Arbor office as needed

  • Great Communicator: Able to communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external people and get complex information across
  • Strategic: Able to identify whether an event will be worthwhile and create/execute strategies to get the most out of each event
  • Can-Do Attitude: Self-motivated, positive, and willing to get “in the weeds” to accomplish our goals

Required Skills and Background

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience in marketing or event planning
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or Google applications
  • Organizing and analyzing data using Excel or Google Sheets
  • Project management expertise with proven ability to meet deadlines and stay on budget
  • Desire to be a part of the fast-paced, high-energy entrepreneurial experience

  • Zoominfo or other research tools
  • Salesforce and Pardot
