About the Opportunity

We are seeking a finance team member to take on a challenging role serving critical analytical and reporting functions from within the finance and accounting team.  This individual will report directly to the CFO and have significant exposure to management and leadership teams.  Position responsibilities will include and may not be limited to the following:

  • Perform budget variance analysis of financial statements, hiring plan & forecast data
  • Report weekly scorecard KPIs for L10, AR, Bookings
  • Publish & analyze monthly KPIs including SaaS metrics
  • Review for accuracy and consistency, monthly, financial reporting from accounting team
  • Manage software applications integrations with Finance and across teams, reconciliations, data consistency
  • Maintain annual budget and reforecast process in forecasting software
  • Manage sales contract details within financial reporting systems
  • Work with CFO & executive team to build annual budget and 3 year forecast
  • Prepare analysis and assist with ad hoc analysis in preparation of materials for Board meetings
  • Provide ROI analysis for new ventures prospective customers
  • Prepare analysis and assist with the preparation of materials for Board meetings
  • Identify, recommend and perform process improvement projects and assist with implementation
  • Assist in activity related to M&A and capital initiatives
  • Complete other duties as needed in collaboration with the CFO
  • Oversee SaasOptics, Jirav, Xero, Salesforce, Mastermind integrations

About You

We are seeking a self starting, highly motivated individual with a passion for data, analysis and interpretation for critical reporting across the organization. Successful candidates will be motivated to inherit processes and establish new for the CFO and executive team to better manage the business.  This individual will collaborate with the management to  pursue strategies and implement tools that advance our mission, culture and core values.  Your skills and background include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, Masters degree or MBA a plus
  • Accounting or Finance experience with emphasis in analysis
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills required
  • Sharp attention to detail with focused accuracy
  • Self-motivated; strong work ethic; “can-do” positive attitude; and ability to work flexible hours during peak times
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to interact with a diverse group of managers, executives, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and time constraints
  • Experience in genomics, healthcare SaaS, bioinformatics a plus
  • Experience in investment banking, private equity or venture capital a plus
  • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
  • Ability and interest to be a part of the fast-paced, high-energy entrepreneurial experience
